Changing background color of selected folder?

#1 Post by Clutch Cargo » 25.02.2023, 23:48

I have read thru the color schemes, control settings and even watched a few videos. In tree mode, the left paneldefault selected folder is a dark blue with black text. Too hard for me to read. I wish to change that background. Seems I can see how to change just about anything but that. Please help.

Also, if I do make a change, do I need to create a color scheme or can I just save with that one color change?

Color Schemes - Guide - FreeCommander Forum
The color of some elements can't be changed (probably it will be possible in the future):
- Tree focused item (light blue)
Anyway, this can be changed now, but it's probably different per OS version, in some Windows versions it could be impossible to change it.

You can try to change it in Settings > View > Tree > Color/Font/Icons > "Selection", "Font - Selection".

I tried to change it with default settings, to red/yellow and it works, in FC version 2023 Build 880 32-bit public, Windows 10 21H1 64-bit.

If it does not work for you with the latest FC version (880/884), it could be an OS issue / limitation.

Thx, did not realize it is tied directly with MS OS. I'll play around with it.
