Sound on invalid keypresses / mouse-button clicks

#1 Post by Free4all » 24.04.2023, 01:05

Would it be possible to add option to play a custom sound on invalid keypresses, and perhaps a similar option for invalid mouse-button clicks?

Could you explain the reasoning behind the need for errors originating from usage of FC be distinguishable from those from other programs?

It's not so much distinguishable from other programs, it's more that FC doesn't provide any feedback for erroneous keypresses/mouse-clicks, and many others do provide that feedback.

As an example, in the popular Notepad++ text editor (and programming code editor), if you press an invalid key, you'll (optionally) hear a sound to let you know you made a mistake. This has saved me thousands of times, especially as fatigue sets in. It will be very useful when FC can do the same thing.
