Impossible to keep the "Tree" collapsed

#1 Post by FreeUser » 02.03.2023, 19:22

...probably because deactivating

Tools → Settings → View → Tree → Management → Follow location s in the active panel

...has no effect.

Could you write more exactly, what is your problem.

I want the tree to always stay folded (collapsed) except if I click on it. But it always expands from my point of view randomly, no matter what settings I choose. I would upload screenshots if this forum would let me, but you know what I mean by now anyway I guess.

If I deactivate the option "Follow location changes in the active panel" then the tree remain collapsed.

Then probably you didn't observe it long enough in all possible situations. I just want it to stay collpased, except if I explicitly navigate it by clicking it with my mouse. But it also unfolds in other situations.

I have the current FreeCommander XE 2023 Build 880 32-bit public and yet it doesn't work (doesn't stay collapsed). So it's still a bug.

Can you please have another look into that?

Maybe you would like to describe the "other situations".

I would if I could. But given that it happens very frequently and that you as the maker know your product best and have an interest in making it work (I assume) I guess you will easily be able to figure it out. Just use your own product and watch how the tree unfolds despite having deactivated this behaviour in Tools → Settings → View → Tree → Management → Follow location s in the active panel.
