Folders and files

#1 Post by wynford » 03.03.2023, 16:38

This has more than likely been asked before, but I couldn't find anything in a search

How do you get FC to show the files in bytes instead of MB and GB

I changed the MB and GB to [fc_sizeSel] Byte(s) to everything in Status Bar where size was mentioned, but it stills shows MB and GB

Strange, are you sure? There are 2 fields in that dialog, "Text pattern" and "Hint pattern", perhaps you changed it just in the second field?

Or perhaps you want it in the columns and you changed it in the Status bar?

Perhaps the screenshots could help, but first make sure you're using the latest version.

I would post screenshots, but I don't seem to be able to and I am using the latest FC

I have figured it out...

Add/remove columns and changed auto size to size (byte)s

OK, so is it solved, right?

BTW Always write the exact version you're using, latest public version it 880, latest donor version is 885 and there are 2 versions, 32-bit and 64-bit - and even portable versions for both, so "latest version" is not enough.

Regarding the screenshots, read this topic, please:

Yup it's working... didn't know you had to upload screenshots to another web site.
