Help! I can not see all files and folders!

Hello
I have a big problem with free Commander XE 64
I cannot see all files and folders. I'm not talking about hidden files or system files but regular files: images, videos, texts etc.
I thought by buying a newer version of Free Commander the problem would be solved. indeed I did buy the newest version but Alas the problem remains the same I cannot see all the files and folders. I have absolutely no problem seeing those files and folders with Windows Explorer. I am using Windows 10 by the way…
please help!
These are work by my students that throughout the year were scattered all over the drive. I wanted to gather them all together, with the wonderful tools of FC: compare and synchronize folders.
