Fixed width of the dialog windows F2/F7

#1 Post by Hugo_W » 12.07.2020, 14:21

Hello everybody,
the time of the 8 + 3 file names from the Dos time is long gone. Today the file and directory names have become significantly longer.

The dialog windows for renaming and creating files and directories (F2 / F7) are unfortunately only of a fixed width.
You can scroll in the text fields, but that's annoying.

Therefore it would be nice if the width of the dialog windows could be changed. This could e.g.
with a new variable (e.g. setRenameWindow = xxx) in FC.INI. Then each user could set their desired value.

Marek, can you do it in the next versions?

Thank you
Hugo

It's already possible to resize those dialogs, upgrade to Build 810a 32-bit public or newer.

EDIT: Feature already implemented, moved to Discussion.

Hello horst.epp
It actually works! I've tried that before, but it has never worked.
I learned something again.
