Color: background of hover
Hi - how do I change the color of the background hover? When I hover my cursor over items in the tree or list the background changes. Is this embedded in the Color Style or is there a setting I am missing?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: Color: background of hover
It's the "hot item", more below, second link if you're using NC-mode.

Re: Color: background of hover
Hi - thanks for the reply. I am not speaking of selection - just hovering my cursor over items there is a light blue background color highlighting the item PRIOR to selection.Dreamer wrote: ↑30.04.2020, 21:19 It's the "hot item", more below, second link if you're using NC-mode.

I suspect this is in the Color Style but I would like to confirm.
Thanks! I am enjoying this product and have happily become a lifetime donor.
Re: Color: background of hover
My suggestion is not for selection, it's for "hot item" = hovering, it's just in the "select items" section of settings, just change the background color for "hot item", also text color, if needed, disable the option "Use Windows colors", and Apply.
If you're using NC-Mode, change the colors in NC-Mode tab, same way.

Re: Color: background of hover
I apologize in advance - as I have been tinkering with MANY File Managers this week. I may not be fully understanding your direction.
Please see the image (hopefully it attaches) - this is in the list of files pane when I hover (NOT CLICK) my mouse - each "row" is is colored this light blue color while my mouse is over that entry, then it goes back to its original color when the mouse is moved. I would like to change this color.

Re: Color: background of hover
Your screenshot is small, but I think it's a hot item.
Again...
- open settings (F12)
- click "Select items", "General" tab
- disable the option "Use Windows colors", this is important
- click the color button next to "Hot item", in the context menu select "For selected item" - "Use both colors"
- click the color button next to "Hot item" again, in the context menu select "Background color" and change the hot/hover color here!
- if needed, click the color button next to "Hot item" again, in the context menu select "Text color" and change the text color
- if needed, change the other colors too, if they were changed
- click the Apply and OK button
If you're using NC-Mode, change the colors in NC-Mode tab, same way.

Re: Color: background of hover
I appreciate the help, but this is not the setting, I believe. I am not using NC mode. Here is the setting for the colors - HOT in this case. My cursor hovers over a row and I get NO background color but the text itself is the correct color.Dreamer wrote: ↑02.05.2020, 11:12 Your screenshot is small, but I think it's a hot item.

For the image at this click click on it - it will become full size.

You can try to enable the option "Hot track only" too, but it works here even if it's disabled.Dreamer wrote: ↑02.05.2020, 11:12Again...

Dreamer, That was a great description and I find it very useful as well.
You should consider adding it to the "Not so obvious settings" discussion.
