Search text in pdf files

#1 Post by thomas_wei » 28.09.2016, 10:06

Hi!

How can I search for text strings in a folder which is containing pdf files (and other files)?
When I use the windows explorer (Windows 7), then I can find also text in pdf files after clicking on "search again in .... file content".

Is it possible to use that also in freecommander?
Do I need to use a converter?
How (in detail please)?

:?:
Thanks a lot for your support!
Best regards
Thomas

Note, that converter is available only in donor (not public) versions.

Thanks joby_toss! Now I get it!

I was not aware that xdoc2txt.exe does also work with pdf-files.
And in the help description of the Converter is no additional information about xdoc2txt.exe.
And japanese is not my favorite language.

But now it works with xdoc2txt.exe version 2.16.1!
:P
Thanks a lot for your support!
Best regards
Thomas
