ulister wlx load failure on the second lo

#1 Post by fake » 26.12.2013, 17:48

i've install the ulister 32bit and setup it in "configure viewer - plugins", and copy the oracle file to the ulister dir
after start FCXE, when i press F3 on docx the first time, it works without problem
close the viewer windows, then press F3 on some office 2010 file, it fails with a message, title is Viewer, content is "Exceptions in plugin "ulister.wlx" in function "listload""
after restart FCXE, first time success, second time fail, always the same.

I tried ulister+oracle library in Totalcmd, Doublecommander, Ultracommanderand and it works perfectly.
In freecommander simply viewer doesnt work properly, but quick view panel works.
When quick view is activated it works via F3 repeatly. When i deactivate quick view panel so F3 doesnt work properly

FreeCommander XE 2014 (release 650), Win 7 32-bit / Win 8.1 64-bit

Someone has the same problem in TotalCommander, so I'm not sure this one is related to FreeCommander: http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.p ... bde#259323

Not confirmed. I use oracle Viewer Technology 8.4.1 and uLister 4.0. If you reboot PC and try view in FC, error will appears again

@fake:
confirmed for FCXE_x64 (ulister works once and than sends an error like this: http://img240.imagevenue.com/img.php?im ... _105lo.jpg)

FCXE_x32 doesn't work with ulister at all
(win7pro x64) - (FCXE x64) - (15"screen) - (resolution: 2880-1620) - (DPI scaling: 200%)

If I use external version of Total Commander's built-in viewer lister as default viewer in my Freecommander with plugins ulister+oracle so it works OK.

The problem is internal viewer in Freecommander XE. All other commanders works perfectly as well as external viewer lister in Freecmd.

seems to be o.k. for FCXE652_x64 :)

[Edit: ulister+FCXE still have some flaws (see my post below)]
(win7pro x64) - (FCXE x64) - (15"screen) - (resolution: 2880-1620) - (DPI scaling: 200%)

if I (quick)view files with ulister everythings works perfectly
BUT
after watching -let's say- a .doc-file I can't view a .txt file in FCXE
to me it seems as if FCXE cannot switch back from ulister-preview to proprietary FCXE preview

so my questions:
1) is it normal that FCXE doesn't display .txt files via ulister-plugin but displays .txt files with its own built-in viewer?
2) confirmation - or is it my machine?
(win7pro x64) - (FCXE x64) - (15"screen) - (resolution: 2880-1620) - (DPI scaling: 200%)

Do you use the same settings for Viewer and Quick viewer?
Do you have this option checked?

@joby_toss: yes, plugins have higher priority but FCXE653_x64 tries to display .txt files with its own built-in viewer
(win7pro x64) - (FCXE x64) - (15"screen) - (resolution: 2880-1620) - (DPI scaling: 200%)

I won't install uLister (needs some Oracle registration or something), but using sLister plugin, I couldn't replicate your issue.

I decided to try uLister after all and I like it.

Using FC XE 650 x86 and uLister x86 plugin I got the same error as the OP.

Using FC XE beta 653 x86 and x64 with their corresponding uLister versions, I don't have any problems so far. I'll report here if something goes wrong.

does your uLister show .ini-files?
does your uLister show .txt-files?

if yes, did you intall some extra libraries?

on my machine uLister cannot display ini & txt files!

No, it can't. Ini and txt files are displayed by FC's internal viewer. Don't know how to change this.
