[fixed] 796 - Opening PDFs sometimes crashes FC

#1 Post by larsen » 13.04.2019, 17:07

Sometimes when I open multiple PDFs (two files is enough), FC simply closes itself (without error message).
I was able to reproduce the problem afterwards some times, but then all of a sudden not anymore (within minutes).

Win 10, 1809
FreeCommander XE 2019 Build 796 64-bit donor
(also happened with previous version used, probably 794)
Acrobat Reader DC 2019.010.20099

I'm not using Acrobat Reader, I can't reproduce it with Sumatra, yet.

Same OS/FC versions.

Try to open files with special characters in filename/path, very long names - perhaps it's random, perhaps not.

When you open multiple files, are you using NC mode, Enter, confirmation dialog for multiple files, or drag&drop, F4?

Can't see anything special here. Characters are [a-zA-Z], fifth level of directories, complete path (including 4+3 chars for filename) is 72.
And I can't reproduce it. Still, it happens now and then.

Not sure what NC mode looks like. I have a tree on the left and the directory content on the right.
Select two files with Shift+Cursor, Acrobat Reader already running, press Enter, no confirmation dialog for multiple files.

See https://freecommander.com/forum/viewtop ... f=7&t=9317
