Action bar sort buttons don't work when a filter is active

#1 Post by ok1 » 23.07.2015, 11:30

If you have a filter active then the action bar buttons for sorting (Date Modified, Size, Name) don't work. In the button changes the way it displays to indicate is has been clicked but the file order does not change. Note that the other buttons do not change so you can have all "clicked" at once. This appears to be a bug.

Testing done
- Using latest version 693
- Seen with both 32 and 64 versions
- Removed my .ini file to check it wasn't a configuration issue (renamed SETTINGS folder)

Please note this is not a new bug. It has done this for a long time and it is easy enough to "work around" by changing to detail view and clicking on appropriate column heading. But it would be nice if this got fixed or if it is a user/configuration issue I find out to resolve it that way.

Sample screenshot attached.

When you have the filter active, try to click/select a filtered file from the panel before hitting one of those buttons.

To have the button's state change (click once->activate, click again->deactivate), try modifying the Group index for those buttons:

Joby,
Thanks for the reply. Changing the 'Group index' value seemed to make no difference. The values were unique 201, 203 and 202; changed by adding 10.

However they do work when a file is selected. This is a much better work around over going into details view :).

So in summary

1) "Bug" is still present (and not a major item)

2) Have a much better work around
