I really like FreeCommander and would prefer to use the XE version as it has some features I would love to use but there is a display bug that drives my crazy so I have stuck with the old version. Details are
1) When ever a file is created or deleted (or even changed) in either if the panels the all the icons on desktop flicker, twice.
2) The file can be on a local or a network drive.
3) I have reproduced on both my PCs, XP SP3 (lots of customizations and tweaks) and Windows 7 Pro SP 64 bit (a lot more of straightforward installation)
4) Tried both the installed and portable versions of FreeCommander XE
5) All versions of XE have shown this bug including latest - XE 2014 Build 650
6) A fresh install shows as well.
As an observation it flickers the desktop icons even more if you change from horizontal to vertical split or vice versa and
Any comments or suggestions. Have read / searched the forums and could not find a anything that helped.

Do you mean the icons on desktop flicker? I can't reproduce it, tested with 650 and 6522 donor (not released test version), Win Vista 32 bit, tested also with default settings (=clean install).

I have no flicker on Win7/64 and on Win8.
