611: "Freecommander has stopped working" on exit

#1 Post by cpk » 08.01.2013, 17:37

Each time I exit FreeCommander, Windows tells me that "FreeCommander.exe [..] has stopped working." Although that is technically true, I should not get this message :) .
It doesn't matter what I have done in FreeCommander. Just starting en immediately exiting already gives the error.

One other user have reported similar problem and he has found the solution.
The problem was the dual graphic chip:

The solution: assign FreeCommander to one graphic chip

Absolutely brilliant. I would never have found that myself. (And could not find the issue on the forum either, maybe I did not search hard enough.)
Thank you and the other user very much. Now I can refrain from Windows Explorer again.
