550 Tool Tips Display Lag

FC XE version 550. I am running it under WinXP SP3 with the latest updates.

I have noticed that tool tips for folders and files do not display immediately upon mouse hover. There is often a time lag until they are displayed. When tool tips are not displayed, I have to move the mouse around a bit until the tool tips start displaying again.
