XE 0.534 and 0.532
I have checked this issue on various XE versions, all the same.
To copy and create new files in a folder, New copied files appear immediately, no problem.
However, to zip/compress a file by use of 7zip, it takes 6 to 8 seconds to see the results. I assume the frequency of auto refresh is too low.
It is not a big issue, just will be better to get this solved.
This has already been fixed in XE 0.536

Re: Auto refresh is slow for zip and unzip operation
Check your settings for "Ignore auto refresh if FC is not active". If the option is active, then try to uncheck the option.

Re: Auto refresh is slow for zip and unzip operation
"Ignore auto refresh if FC is not active" option is not checked in The XE 0.534, the refresh interval is about 7 seconds, in another word, it takes about 7 seconds to see the results. my operation system is Windows XP, SP3.Marek wrote:Check your settings for "Ignore auto refresh if FC is not active". Which plugin you use?

Re: Auto refresh is slow for zip and unzip operation
The progam downloaded from the beta version site directly, not a single plugin at all. It is slow to refresh the results at the following operations:Marek wrote:Which plugin you use?
Save file from other programs
restore file from recycle bin
zip/unzip by 7zip
copy file from windows explorer by right click drag file(copy here by drag and copy)
it takes a while to see the results. I assume the auto refresh interval is too long when XE is not active.
My option for the XE is the default setting:
"ignore auto refresh if fc is not active" is not checked
The same slow refresh problem in both Windows XP, SP3 and windows 7 SP1, 32bit
Re: Auto refresh is slow for zip and unzip operation
4 sec. if app is not active.it takes a while to see the results. I assume the auto refresh interval is too long when XE is not active.
I have changed it now: 4 sec. if app is not active and minimized.
