FC 816 donor - much slower than windows explorer in homeoffice enviroment

#1 Post by greg4b » 08.04.2020, 07:49

Currently I need to work in homeoffice - probably like many others too - VPN

I'm experiencing that FC is MUCH slower than windows explorer - at least 5 times... focus change on network drive results in throbber for probably 5 sec.

Sad, to say - but since that I've to drop FC and use the explorer.

Please investigate and let me know.

Try this:

https://freecommander.com/en/faq-network/#load-network

You can try it also with default settings.

What about older versions, it was OK - faster?

What version of Windows is FC running on?

What version of Windows or other OS are the network machines running?

I am experiencing the exact same issue in windows 10. As son as i connect to the office VPN free commander becomes really slow. I also have network drives connected.

Any suggestions?
