Hi.
Does MTP mean, that I should be able to copy pictures eg. from an iPhone?
If yes, I get an error 0x80004002.

MTP Functions?
Using FC under: Win10 German (2004+), Server 2016, Server 2019 + Onedrive
Re: MTP Functions?
Yes. Phones connect with MTP protocol, normally only accessible through Windows Explorer (since no drive letter is assigned as it is with MSC protocol connections from removable devices like SD flash card readers).Mr-Fly wrote:Hi.

FCXE has now added access to MTP-connected devices, which is a terrific additional function, since FCXE is far superior to Windows Explorer as we all know.
I also get this exact error when trying to use F5/F6 to copy a file from phone to PC in Win7. Marek says he does not have any problem using Win8.If yes, I get an error 0x80004002.
Do you get this with F5/F6?
And are you using Win7 or Win8?
Have you tried using the mouse/cursor to do a standard drag/drop to copy/move from your phone to your PC, as you'd do with Windows Explorer?
I have already reported this identical problem using F5/F6 in the Beta Bugs sub-forum. But additional data points from other users like you are helpful. That's why I ask what your OS is, and whether you used F5/F6 to copy pictures from phone, or have tried mouse/cursor drag/drop to accomplish the same thing, and which situation produces the failure?

Re: MTP Functions?
Tested on Windows 8 X64 (FC 665 public) - MTP doesn't work as it should. Drag and drop and copy/paste works, but F5,F6 operation don't (neither in "Windows" mode nor in "FreeCommander" mode). Folder creation, file/folder rename and deletion works.
My device is Nexus 5 with stock firmware (rooted), drivers from google.

Copy/move for Windows 8 was implemented in the release 666 and not in 665.MTP doesn't work as it should. Drag and drop and copy/paste works, but F5,F6 operation don't
