(629) Fixing column-width

#1 Post by puck44 » 04.07.2013, 08:43

Hi!
In XE 629 i can't manage to set the column-width to a fixed value.
Even if I remove the marker in "Breite der Spalte "Name" automatisch anpassen" the width of the column varies from window to window.

I think I forgot a detail to achieve a fixed column-width!?

Define in the same dialog the option "Width" (Breite) to the value > 0.

Yes, with a change the width of the column changes to the value, but as soon as I change the directory the width of the new column "Name" adjusts to the longest name. That's not what I call "fixed".

Can I set the width of the column NAME to a fixed value that is valid for ALL directories?

Thanks for help!

Yes,
- define "Width" option to value > 0
- deactivate option "Autosize for Name column"
If you have defined many detailed views, then you must change all views.

The only problem I see now: after changing the options you must change the view type to "List" and than back to "Details" (or restart FC).

Thanks! The change of all views helped!
Hope to see soon the first "regular" version of a new FreeCommander!
