This would be the best option, since everyone has different preferences, so there should be an option like "open favorites in a new tab" in the settings.Bill wrote:Selecting a favorite now automatically opens a tab, in each panel. For those of us who don't use tabs, can this be made optional?
Thanks.
Favourites Panel Functionality

Re: Favourites Panel Functionality
I think this a bug, because the context menu of the favorites still has the two options "open" and "open in a new tab" - but they both have the same functionality...
All the suggestions (preferences in the options, change behaviour with Shift to the opposite) are good ideas; so ++

Fixed for the release 594.Selecting a favorite now automatically opens a tab, in each panel. For those of us who don't use tabs, can this be made optional?
Re: Favourites Panel Functionality
Implemented for the release 594.-drag-n-drop folders into Favourites - we should be able to drag a folder from the main panels right into a favourites category folder.
-F2 to rename the selected favourites object (right now, F2 still acts to rename in the main folder panel)
-Pull in any folder icons from the real folder instead of using the hearts-folder all the time
Re: Favourites Panel Functionality
Where is this setting where I can choose, if a new tab opens when selecting a favorite?Marek wrote:Fixed for the release 594.Selecting a favorite now automatically opens a tab, in each panel. For those of us who don't use tabs, can this be made optional?
Re: Favourites Panel Functionality
If you like to open the favorite folder in new tab and you use favorites panel:
- use context menu
- Shift+DblClick
- use context menu
- Shift+DblClick
Re: Favourites Panel Functionality
Ok, but this only works if you have the favorites panel open and not for the Alt + Up version.Marek wrote:If you like to open the favorite folder in new tab and you use favorites panel:

A general option for that in the options would be nice.
A Checkbox like "always open favorites in a new tab"
So everyone could customize this behaviour the way he wants.
Re: Favourites Panel Functionality
A couple of additions for the panel workings:
1. Option to open favourites with single-click (like you would in Firefox)
2. add "Rename" to the favourites context menu.

Re: Favourites Panel Functionality
If I use the favourites button, I can save as a favourite: c:\somefolder\somezip.zip\somefolder
but it won't work if I drag the tab into the favourites panel. I get the "no" symbol and nothing happens - or - it grabs out one of the other favourites items and moves it instead.
