When I attempt to drag & drop a file to add it to an existing *.zip archive, nothing happens. Actually before dropping the file, the cursor changes to a circle with a diagonal line through it.
Version 663 on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, using Total7zip 64 bit plugin. (corrected)
The 32 bit version with the same configuration works OK.

Re: 663 drag & drop to zip not working
Do you have configured the 64bit 7zip-plugin? For the 64bit FCXE you need 64bit-plugins.

ralfso,
Thanks for the reply.
I'll check on that and post back my findings.

Re: 663 drag & drop to zip not working
I tried the above suggestions and also those in viewtopic.php?f=22&t=5505
The zip file shows on the tree and will show sub folders if there are any.
Still, when I try to drag and drop a file from the file folder into the top level of the zip file in the tree, the cursor changes to a "circle with diagonal line" and the drop fails. However if I try to drop to a sub folder of the zip file, the drop is successful.
Any other suggestions? Has a new bug crept into 663-64?

Re: 663 drag & drop to zip not working
Hi Gekko,
I've tried myself to reproduce this, but I couldn't get 7zip-Plugin (7zip.wcx64) to work with zip-files.
I 've got a error message when trieing to open zip-files.
But: fcZip (fc_internal_zip) works perfect with the zip-files and also total7zip (Total7zip.wcx64) http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/total7zip.html
So I don't try any longer to get 7zip-Plugin to work.

Re: 663 drag & drop to zip not working
I am sorry; I am actually using "%FcSrcPath%\Plugins\wcx_Total7zip_0856\Total7zip.wcx64" and "%FcSrcPath%\Plugins\wcx_Total7zip_0856\64\7z.sfx" that I got from http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/Total7zip.html
Still, no go with drag and drop from a folder to the top level of a zip file in the tree.

Re: 663 drag & drop to zip not working (fixed)
I got zip drag & drop working now on 32-bit version and 64-bit version on 663 and 666.
I have 7zip 9.22 installed and it was set as the default program to handle zip files; that seems to have been the problem.
This is what I did to get a file to drag & drop to a zip folder working correctly with FCXE:
Find a .zip file in the file panel.
Right-click on it.
Select "Open With".
Select "Choose default program...".
Choose "Windows Explorer".
That's all.
Now drag & drop to a zip folder works correctly whether the 7zip plugin is installed or not.
This is working with 32 bit FCXE and 64 bit FCXE versions 663-667.
This is working on Windows 7 Pro 64 and Windows 7 Enterprise 32.
