May look silly to all of you, but I just can't see how to activate NC-Mode!

I know this setting, I've checked it before I wrote.

But the real question is: Can it look like old DOS-based NC? How to get it?
Or is it just the way that items are selected?

If you want to see it as DOS-app, then it's impossible. But if you're about colors, then you can change this (pee picture below, four icons).
