- Open the properties of the freecommander.exe file in your install folder.
- Change to Compatibility tab
- Activate: Disable display scaling on high DPI settings

Sorry if I am taking up an old thread but I wanted the context.

It is true that if you disable this, you will get crisper text but in a multi monitor setup (1 at 100% scale and 1 at 175%) moving FC between screens without this option ticked makes the text illegibly small on the one with 175% scaling.

If you enable it, text just becomes blurry on the 175%.

In short, this does not work optimally with FC. Mozilla Firefox handles this most excellently. No blurred text, no small text moving between 100% and 175% screen.

Hi,
I was having the same issue since last update. A mix of what is stated in the posts above worked for me (Win10, FreeCommander build 790a 32 bit):
1- go to your install folder (\Program Files (x86)\FreeCommander XE ussually)
2- right click on FreeCommander.exe, and select properties --> compatibility tab --> Change hight DPI settings
3- click to enable High DPI scalling override (select performed by application).
4- save and exit

Hope it helps

Reading the post above, the instructions to resolve the problem have likely changed?
It does not work for me and I have still blurry fonts.

What are the updated instruction for the latest menu in FreeCommander (Jun 2020) please.
Running compatibility troubleshooter results in an error.
Moving the Windows to solve dpi problems for fuzzy fonts does not work,
Please advise. Thanks, Gerard

Great fix! IT also sorts the problem I had with the pdf previewing in 1/4 of the pane window.
