Compare Files configuration not loaded on restart

#1 Post by razedk » 24.01.2014, 04:34

FreeCommander XE 2014 Build 650, Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

When you add a program to the Compare Files tab next time you restart XE it has forgotten about it.

How to reproduce:

1) Click Tools -> Settings -> Programs and select the Compare Files tab
2) Add for instance Winmerge and click OK
3) You can now select two files and use the CTRL-ALT-V hotkey to compare the files with Winmerge, so far so good
4) Now restart XE and select two files again. Hit the CTRL-ALT-V hotkey and you get a message "Please define external program..."
5) If you go into settings again you see that the compare program is gone

NOTE: I can see that winmerge has been saved to the config file so I assume the problem is that the section called PrgFileCompare is not read in again
NOTE 2: The settings window is a little odd also, in order to add winmerge I need to first click the green plus button, then click in the text field where it says Program, then click the green plus button again, then click on the select box and the click to the right of the select box, then I can select the program I want to use for compare.

Freecommander.ini
=========================
[PrgFileCompare]
Enabled1=1
Filter1=
Prg1=C:\Program Files (x86)\WinMerge\WinMergeU.exe
Param1=/r %FileCompare1% %FileCompare2%

Excellent that works.

Maybe still at some point this should be fixed so it defaults to * if nothing is specified explicit.
