Wrong multiple files selection

To replicate the issue follow these steps:
- create a new folder
- create a new file named a.txt
- create some copies of the file (ctrl+c, ctrl+v)
- move the selection in the first entry (parent folder "..")
- press the "a" key, the selection moves to the first file that starts with "a"
- press the "down arrow" key to move the selection of 2 or 3 items
- press the "shift" key to select more than one items from the selected item
- press the "down arrow" key and the selection starts from the first file that starts with "a" instead from the selected item
