Prevent new tabs and Hide Address bar

#1 Post by VirusAlert » 03.03.2021, 16:43

Hello, i'm new on Freecommander and I need 2 settings.
I need to prevent users from creating new tabs: freecommander starts with 2 tabs already set on 2 specific folders and users must not be able to create new tabs, how can I do this?
Other question is how can I hide or lock address bar? I found how to change color, font size, but I cannot hide it. I need to prevent the user from using it and go around folders and drives.
Thanks a lot

Hello,

I think it's not possible, you can just disable some keyboard shortcuts to open new tabs, disable the option "Always keep one tab open", enable also "Close all not locked tabs when the program ends", also the option below this one, so after the restart there will be no tabs opened.

It still be possible to open new tabs from menu, middle clicking the folder and so on.

Regarding the address bar, it's the same, just a workaround, in the settings disable all Address bar options starting with "Show..." and in the Color/Font tab change the font color so, that it will be the same as "Background start" color.
