If I close FC with List view display, column width is too short when I restart FC, so file names are truncated. Creating 7z or RAR archives from FC via context menu is indeed possible
But opening 7z archives inside FC like ZIP, RAR or CAB files is another thing and will be very useful

1. I cannot find a button to create a new tab
Double click on the tab row (outside a tab) create a new tab. So the empty part of the tab row works as a large (even if somewhat hiden) icon !

I think that different colors for active and inactive panel will make their identification faster, more straightforward and more intuitive than looking upward to path-info color.
