I have a need to disable the functionality where Shift/letter will change to that partition e.g. Shift/C will go to C:. From a search it seemed that adding the following line to [Form] section of the FreeCommander.ini but it doesn't seem to work. DrivesUseShiftDriveCharShortcuts=0 Can we disable thi...

Re: Version 735 32-bit Corrupt
I had the same problem with the 32 bit version of 735. There was nothing "pressing" with the new version based on the changelog so I just re-loaded 734.
That said the new archive has a different checksum and the it also works flawlessly for me. Thanks !

Re: Can't edit selected file after typing the file name
731 seems to fix this but it crashes too often for me. Have created a but report for this.
Rolled back 1 version at a time until I found the most recent version where it is not present, 726, so am using that for now.

Re: Can't edit selected file after typing the file name
Actually any function or control key operation including for example Ctrl/C or Ctrl/V for copy and paste are "blocked" when the quick select is active so it makes it a lot more annoying (for me at least) bug. Still can press Escape to the get out of this mode so it's not end of world. Mare...

Re: Can't edit selected file after typing the file name
It works for me right all the time. Simply set the option "Quick search field auto close time" to 1, otherwise you can close the quick search field with ESC. Same as budokaiman, I really like the fact it does not time out. It's not the end of the world as you can press Escape & then t...

Re: Favourites Folders Popup menu not working - feature or b
This seems to part of behaviour where a number of features get blocked when you use the feature of typing a file name (or part thereof) to select it which has been raised elsewhere, see http://www.forum.freecommander.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7623 For favourite folders I simply started using the b...

Re: Can't edit selected file after typing the file name
Checked and when using typing to select a file it seems to block a number of features in Free Commander e.g. cannot 1) Use any keyboard shortcuts e.g. F4 for edit, or Ctrl/F for find 2) Nothing happens when you select anything under the Tools menu e.g. Settings, Connect to network drive etc. 3) Favo...

Favourites Folders Popup menu not working - feature or bug
Starting with release 726 there has been a change in behaviour of the Favourites Popup Menu (folder with a heart). If you have typed some characters that match one or more file names then the Favourites Popup menu cannot be selected. Have checked this against a default start (/N /NewIni=FreeCommande...

I use Trend (and don't think it is all that good) but no a/v issues with it. I submitted the FreeCommander.exe to VirusTotal and it returned all clean.

Re: Freezes on Network Shares
There does seem to be some inefficient code in FreeCommander with UNC network paths. If you have the tree display on for the active panel then it appears to search or walk the network tree when you enter the name. In my case it takes over 1 minute 10 seconds if I parse a second network I use (still ...
