P.S. - how did you get your "standard" toolbar button on the same row as the Menu bar items when you showed your own split-horizontal view?
For me, these occupy two separate rows.

Re: Adding Custom Buttons to Splitter Bar
I said: Tools -> Customize toolbars... AHA! Didn't process your English earlier. Now I see. Thank you for this insight. Don't know why the word "splitter" doesn't show up in Help -> search providing useful information. That would have allowed me to answer my own questions. Some irrelevant...

Re: Adding Custom Buttons to Splitter Bar
I don't see anything like this in FCXE. There is no Tools -> Settings tab or options for "spitter" that I can find. Where/how is this configured at all in FCXE? Also, again... left/right presentation in your example. Sure that is acceptable for 2-panes (i.e. without Tree), but I much prefe...

Re: Adding Custom Buttons to Splitter Bar
The HELP doesn't mention "splitter bar", although I've seen that phrase used by others.
I have no idea what area on the UI is called the "splitter bar". Can you please post a screenshot showing it, or maybe just describe where it is and how it is obtained for view?
thanks.

Re: Switch F10 dual/one panel...Folder tree remains hidden
I'm using 668 under Win7 x64. Same "one tree per panel" and "left-left" configuration. However I use over/under presentation (i.e. "split horizontal" with tree/detail panes on top and tree/detail panes on bottom) rather than left/right presentation. Just View -> Split H...

Can't understand why more don't use "split horizontal"?
Many threads have discussions implying that FC/FCXE users are using a left/right presentation (with panels on left and ride sides of the window) rather than a top/bottom presentation (with over/under panels). The latter is achieved by a simple View -> Split Horizontal (CTRL+H) command. The over/unde...

[*] When there is a file with a long name, the active window automatically expand the "name" column, causing all the other columns to shift on the right (out of the screen if the name is very long). If you reshrink the name column, it gets expanded again at the first sort/change done in t...

Re: 667 - copy/move from MTP to PC does not set "A" attribut
Good question. Turns out, the "A" attribute DOES NOT get set even when using Windows Explorer in a drag/drop from the MTP-connected phone to a PC target folder! So assuming FCXE is using Explorer capability functions for MTP support, I guess the culprit appears to be Windows Explorer rathe...

Re: 667 - Copy from MTP (iPhone 5s) will remove File Extensi
Don't Apple environments have no extension or at least in the folder you're copying from on the iPhone?
Look at the SOURCE in your screenshot... no extension there to begin with.

F5 worked fine for me with Win7. Extension retained on copied file.

667 - copy/move from MTP to PC does not set "A" attribute fl
I'm happy to report that with 667 it is now possible to successfully use F5/F6 to copy/move files between MTP storage (e.g. phone) and PC folders. And mouse/cursor drag/drop also works, as it already previously did with 665 and 666. So all previous fatal problems with copy/move where MTP device is t...

Re: 666 - Copy from MTP (iPhone 5s) will remove File Extensi
Sorry, you are right. Win8 with F5. So you're saying that with Win8, using F5 to copy the file from phone to PC works (which it does not using Win7) but results in the loss of the extension on the copied file. What happens if instead of F5 you use the mouse, and just drag/drop from the phone pane t...

Re: 666 - Copy from MTP (iPhone 5s) will remove File Extensi
Win7? Win8? F5/F6 or "drag/drop" with mouse? Assuming you're using "drag/drop" (since F5/F6 doesn't work right, at least with Win7 and WinXP), I cannot duplicate with my Galaxy S4 phone using PNG (screenshot) file. Copied file retains PNG extension. Build 666. Same success with M...

666 - Backup settings; the system cannot find the file
FCXE (666, Win7 x64) was open for a while. Out of nowhere, the following error message box appeared: http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1024x768q90/540/f80433.jpg I assume this was from a periodic automatic backup of settings function, but apparently whatever folder/file it wanted to find or create mu...
