I don't know the solution of your problem, but if a program crashes it's normal that it can't react on the close-button because it's dead. Also, the windows taskmanager often can't close a completely crashed thread (I hoped Vista 64bit might be a more stable OS, but as I see, it's not) On 32bit Vist...

Nice,
but can you also tell how it is solved?

Although I think that it was no bug of FC, a forum and the knowledge in it lives by the answers and not by the questions.

In the posting is written that the next full-version of FreeCommander is based on the actual beta-version 2009-01 (means it is feature-complete). Marek plans to program a completly new version of FC, but this may take time and will firstly not have more features. So you see your feature-request will...

Because this are different things! The first tab "colors" is for colors of special file/folder attributes and file extensions and the second tab "colors/font" is for the general look of freeCommander. But, why colour settings (back, file and folders) is not in one tab? Did you se...

That's all right, but I have an idea that a lot of new user (or maybe new forum-members) ask about program-settings without checking the settings-dialog. I think it's much more helpful in understanding a software to try out each adjustment and look what happens to get a feeling of the programming-lo...

Hi Kirklander,

The beta version is named 2009/01.
So I think the next version is planned for january 2009.
Till now Marek allways made the release on the target date, mostly at the end of the month.

Excuse me, I said "Colors" but I meant "Colors/Font", almost one line below this. If I want to help in this english forum, I allways have to switch the language of FC to write the correct settings-entries and search for the asked feature, so I think it's appropriate to ask for a ...

Hi, I've no idea what's the reason, but FC doesn't need any installation. Try to download freecommander as zip-file and extract it to an empty folder of your choice. If this version with a fresh freecommander.ini also shows this effect, there might be a conflict between FC and sDesk, but try this fi...
