Re: can't drag files from elsewhere to drop in fc window
Or try to hold Ctrl while drag&drop. wow, holding ctrl works, My decade long prolbem solved. though I wonder why ctrl key qualifier should be required. Also, Ctrl does copy. but if I have to MOVE the file, not copy, what is the qualifier? pressing Ctrl and Shift doesn't seem to work, this combo...

Re: can't drag files from elsewhere to drop in fc window

I can't drag-drop anything from desktop or windows explorer to fc window nor vice versa. It restricts file transfer lot, I have to open windows explorer f...

Re: when will 64-bit version go "public"?
I don't know about other programs so can't tell, but I am myself using - Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, IrfanView are surely available in 64-bit, why don't you download them? Windows Defender is in 32-bit and 64-bit Program Files, folders, but you would noticed that its 32-bit folder's files ...

Re: when will 64-bit version go "public"?
You should have remained on 32-bit windows itself, or may be on Windows 95 or on DOS itself. You would not have had a problem with that either, I guess.
Why did you go to bugsy Windows 10?

when will 64-bit version go "public"?
As the entire computer world is moving to 64-bit architecture, fc remaining 32-bit seems rare oddity in our all other or most of the installed programs already have gone to 54-bit. when will 64-bit version go "public"? Now 64-bit has become a norm, thus using 32-bit makes anyone stone-age....

Re: 790a installed in "FreeCommanderXE" "without space"
When I ran install, on the screen it showed/ asked where fc is to be installed. My pc was showing there "without space". I changed that to add a space.

I am free user, so it is 32-bit until you make 64-bit available to non-donors.
Thanks.

Re: starting trouble - can't start due to api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll
One query. Several program carry required vc++ in the installer, and install that along with software, so that vc++ problem is not there. what vc++ versions are required for fc? Can there download location from MS site be given at the download page of fc? or, even better, can they be clubbed in the ...

Re: starting trouble - can't start due to api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll
good news, I uninstalled office 2016-64 bit, and installed office 2013-32 bit (that is what I had), and the problem is gone with word/ excell, as well as with fc. seems that setup has installed the file that missing. now that that file is there, some day I will try uninstalling 2013 and installing 2...

Re: starting trouble - can't start due to api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll
of course it is windows problem. I had downloaded Windows8.1-KB2999226-x64.msu first it wouldn't install, then I searched net, and tried some methods and then it got installed, and all vc++ 2015 to 2017 got installed, but the problem remains, in fc as well as in ms office itself. so this direction o...
