Re: New Word document in context menu creates a text file
Confirmed! When using the context menu "New" to create a Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel document and entering only a "name" (without an extension) will create a file named <name>.txt. However, if an extension is added in the prompt window, that extension is used to name the fi...

Re: Mouse-wheel line-scroll settings ignored
Can you be more specific as to which "crappy mouse software" was causing the problem? I am using the latest version of the Logitech Setpoint Software and have the same problem with scrolling many lines in the list display. I also found that adding the line FileListMouseWheelScrollMultiplie...

Re: Select all files problem - FCXE-652 or FCXE-652x64
Update for FCXE-662 or FCXE-662 x64 This problem is better in this release, but NOT fixed. The toolbar icon for "Select all files" is no longer dimmed when a FOLDER is selected in the TREE and either the icon is clicked or keystroke (Ctl + Num+) is used. Problem 1: When a FOLDER is selecte...

Re: [661] Issue: The file/folder name is not valid
I confirmed the same action, if I rename folder "Folder-xx" to "Folder-x" in the file list display, I get the Invalid File Name message. However, if I try the same rename in the Tree display, it works normally. The action is the same in Beta 661 x86 and x64. The message occurs fo...

Re: Issue: Freecommander overrides MD5 file association...
Please note that Marek implemented your suggestion in Beta 661. Now you can add Md5VerifyUseFC=0 to the [form] section of the FreeCommander.ini file. At first I did not like losing the verify function, but after adding a Verify MD5 button to my toolbar I can have both actions available. I have the ....

Re: Issue: Freecommander overrides MD5 file association...
I agree that double clicking an MD5 file causes FreeCommander to attempt to verify the file. However, as a possible fix to your problem, if you have a Windows association established for file extension MD5, when you right click the MD5 file and select open, the program associated with the extension ...

660 - Zip files are not shown in tree
I just installed the Beta version 660 and noticed that the downloaded ZIP file, which I store with the install folder, is no longer displayed in the Tree. This bug is both for the x86 and x64 versions of FCXE. I am using the same copy of freecommander.ini as used with Beta 659. I also checked other ...

Re: Encryption
I use AxCrypt from Sourceforge for my encryption. It works from the context menu (right click) of a file. The advantage is that it works from FreeCommander, Windows Explorer, and several other file managers.
Check it out.
Check it out.

Re: 657-Address Bar has no text
I have narrowed down the problem for the Address Bar missing text. At the time the program is started, if the FreeCommander.ini file has the entry ShowDriveBtnInAddressBar=1 The address bar displays text normally. However if the value is "0" there is no text and left clicking will not show...

657-Address Bar has no text
I started using FCXE-657 (x86 and x64) today and noticed that the Address Bar has no text. Also, left clicking the Address Bar does not shift focus to the other panel and it does not display the file history. This screenshot shows the detail. http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c83/Zorkoff/FCXE-657-bl...

Re: 656 - Toolbar Icons Mising
Marek, I checked the install folder and it does contain FCIcons64.dll dated December 2013. I extracted the entire zip file as I have done for all previous x64 releases. Following a comment by Joby_Toss, I turned off Big Icons in the toolbar setup and all the icons were displayed. I hope this helps

Re: Flash Drives not loading in the drive bar
It works fine for me. I insert a USB drive and the drivebar icon appears in about 3 seconds. When I eject the drive, the icon is gone from the drivebar before I can physically remove the USB drive. Joby_Toss - The option "Show removable drives only with disk" works fine to hide my 4 card r...

Re: F4 editor and multiple files selected
I tried this using Notepad++ (.c files) and NoteTab6 (.txt files) and it worked correctly. It did not matter if I used the F4 key or the Editor Toolbar Icon. It also worked with Word (.doc files) with Wordviewer and with Excel (.xls files) using Excelviewer. I cannot confirm the problem! FCXE 653 x6...
