[621] Incorrect context menu behaviour

Hi, to reproduce, select one file and press the context menu key (right to Alt Gr). Normally, you will get the context menu of the selected file, but when the mouse cursor is over the column header, you will get that menu. Additionally, e.g. for the "extension" column, you won´t get that m...

609 Last used folders only restores active tab

I use the single panel layout with multiple tabs. When I close FC while some tabs are opened, only the active one gets restored on start afterwards. I would prefer to have all last opened tabs re-opened. (Maybe this is already possible, but I couldn´t find a setting for this in "Settings > Star...

Creating links from file search doesn´t work in some cases

Steps to reproduce: - Search for anything within a directory and its subdirectories - Have a search result with at least two files from different subdirectories - Select both of them - Right-click & drag them onto the desktop - Upon releasing the mouse button choose "create link" (or w...

@Scott_Y: You wrote some posts above that you noted inconsistent behavior. I am not sure if that is the same problem or something else, so please feel free to add that information.

Re: 609 - Column layout is automatically resetted

Hmm... does this work for you?
Cause it doesn´t work for me: I have disabled both auto refresh settings (well, the second automatically gets disabled upon disabling the first), even restarted FC, and when I create or delete a directory, the column size is reset. Max column width is set to 0.

Re: 609 - Column layout is automatically resetted

Thx! I realized that this is a feature, not a bug. The default value for the name column was 40 and autosize was enabled. I simply changed it to 0 and now get the column autosized that I can see the whole file name. Neat! Though, I still think that the column shouldn´t be autosized when something ha...

609 - Column layout is automatically resetted

Steps to reproduce:
- I open a directory and broaden the column for the file name.
- After I delete a file, the column size is automatically resetted.

This also happens when I create a directory or a file.

609 - Selection in Go to folder dialog

When I open the Go to folder dialog and enter some text, I e.g. get "c:\windows". Then I press Ctrl+Shift+Cursor left to replace "windows" with the folder I want to open. Unfortunately, the backslash gets selected too, so I first have to deselect it. It´s just a small and simple ...

Alt+Enter: Different behavior in tree

Hi, I don´t know if this is a bug or a feature: When you press Alt+Enter in the file/folder pane it opens the properties of the selected file/folder. When you press Alt+Enter on a folder in the tree, it opens the context menu instead. For a consistent behavior IMHO this should be changed so Alt+Ente...

Re: Warning message when exiting FC instantly after starting

Not if the user wants to use multiple instances in some other case. Also, the user might have started FC only once but for whatever reason wants to close it right away. I agree that it won´t happen very often and for the majority perhaps not at all, but I think that if FC is closing and it´s possibl...

Re: Warning message when exiting FC instantly after starting

No, I think it´s good to use a thread for that. It just shouldn´t interfere with closing the program.

Define keyboard shortcuts: Pressing enter

When I enter some text into the filter textbox, I habitually press Enter (as you would when starting a search inside some text) which leads to the dialog being closed. Could this be changed so that enter is ignored in that case? The dialog can already be closed by ESC so there is no need to also use...

Warning message when exiting FC instantly after starting it

I accidentally started two instances of Freecommander and wanted to instantly close the second one by pressing Alt+F4 but got warning: "Please wait - network loading thread is active" I understand that this is necessary when the user wants to do something that might interfere with it, but ...
