Re: Still Not Working Acceptably Well with Libraries

Marek, First of all, Libraries are a great feature for many professionals that have a variety of projects they are working on and they do not want to spend the time going through the maze of directories under "Documents" to find what they are looking for. I personally find it very useful. ...

Still Not Working Acceptably Well with Libraries

Despite the many updates, FreeCommander still has a problem with the Libraries. Although clicking on Libraries displays correctly the various Libraries, the moment one clicks on one, an incoherent collection of folders from various libraries appear. There is no rhyme or reason for the folders that a...

Re: Viewer only occupies a small area of the viewer pane

Possibly, but I do not think that there are any substantial changes in this area between Windows versions for the last 2 years. I have the latest version of Win10 Pro 1909. This includes the latest updates released today by Microsoft. Most of the systems run the latest version of Adobe Acrobat CC, w...

Re: Viewer only occupies a small area of the viewer pane

Well, exactly the opposite worked for me. I changed the DPI setting to be provided by the Application and this did it. On the other hand, when the program loads, what one sees is the directory tree structure and the viewer. The files pane is there but I have to make visible manually. Thanks for the ...

Re: Viewer only occupies a small area of the viewer pane

Thank you for the reply. No, version 819 did not seem to have fixed the problem with the PDF files. >The settings for High-DPI in the properties of freecommander.exe maybe important. I use "Scaling carried out by the system ". In what exact menu item is the "High-DPI" setting to ...

Document occupies only a quarter of the viewer pane

I have posted this before but no action has been taken, so I think that I need to post it again. I have a laptop with a UHD resolution panel. FC's viewer (both free standing and in the pane) cannot fully display documents (any format!). The document occupies only about a quarter (or even less) of th...

Documents cover only a small fraction of viewer pane

Well, I did not get any action or any reply on this, so I will repost I use FC in an HP Elitebook 850 G5 with a UHD screen (Intel GPU, Win10 Pro 1909). Files being viewed (all types, not just PDF) occupy only a quarter of the attached or free-floating viewer pane. Is there a setting that changes thi...

Re: Viewer only occupies a small area of the viewer pane

Well, no, it is not. This scaling factor is quite typical for UHD displays in laptops. In larger monitors, it is probably set at 150%. Essentially, if this is the issue, then it goes to mean that the program's viewer is not working in UHD displays, which would be unfortunate. Considering that UHD di...

Re: Viewer only occupies a small area of the viewer pane

Marek, The viewer responds similarly for all types of files (either the viewer pane or the FnF3 version). The PDF files are not the only ones affected. Text and all MS Office files, including graphic format files have the same problem. My PDF program is PDF Architect 7 Pro, but I do not think that t...

Re: Viewer only occupies a small area of the viewer pane

OK, I downloaded the image that you have required. The link is https://postimg.cc/Fd9hvjsT

I hope that this helps!!! Just some additional information: The OS is Win10 1909 Pro, the CPU is an 8th generation i7 with an Intel GPU, the screen is UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels).

Viewer only occupies a small area of the viewer pane

The viewer presents very small views, probably only 1/6th of the size of the viewer pane. My guess is that this is related to the fact that my laptop supports a UHD screen. I cannot think of any other reason. I wonder if there is a setting that would allow for better scaling in UHD screens

Libraries work poorly ..really, they do not!

Libraries, a very useful Windows feature, work very poorly in FreeCommander. When one moves to the Libraries, all the subdirectories of all the libraries open at once. One has to go and hunt down what directory belongs to what library! The end result is that it is not really usable at all. It is cer...
