In that case, you cannot undo the rename, if you forgot what the original name was. No happy answer for you on this one......

Is that what you're asking? A bit more information would help to answer your question....

Once again, thank you very much!

But I feel I must make comment, that in the *other* file manager, I could drag n drop from one directory on drive C: to another directory on drive C: and it would do a copy, not a move, without holding down Control.

Just a FYI ......

Drag N Drop From One Lister Window To The Other

I am just getting used to FreeCommander, and for the most part, it is a very easy transition from the "other" File Manager I used to use. One thing I'm having trouble with, is that I'm used to being able to drag a file from one lister to the other, and have it copied. But, when I do this w...

Adding Seperators To Different Categories Lists

I'm using the latest public release of FC, 2007.10 , and I run Windows XP Pro, Version 5.1 Build 2600 with SP2. I believe I've found a bug in the Define Favorite Tools function. I have a list of 8 different categories defined, with several programs within each category. When I click on the topmost c...

Hello, no need to edit the ini file. Check the FC Help (F1) > Special functions > Favorite tools. Thank you for your reply. However, that section of my help file makes absolutely no mention of categories. I even downloaded the newest version of the help file from the downloads section, Online help ...

UPDATE: OK, I finally figured out how to show some Categories out on the Favorite Tools toolbar. I had to go into the .ini file, and define some categories. After I did that, then some icons showed up on the toolbar, that were pulldown icons. Now my problem is that all those category icons on the to...

The Categories Function in 2007.10

Hello. FC is absolutely the BEST file manager out there, free or otherwise! I very much like the new Favorite Tools toolbar. I have a question about the new Categories that is in the Favorite Tools editor. I have tried every way I can think of to make a category, or use a category that is already co...
