Re: Folder List built with a script

I meant two folders in the SAME container.
I know that I can have thousands of file containers.

Re: Folder List built with a script

Hi, Just found out, that the feature is only working with local folders? What I wanted to do is: Automatically add a list of fileserver with its shares: eg: \\server1\share1 \\server2\share2 And bascally the source could be anything like AD-OU with fileservers etc. Additionally file containers are n...

Re: Folder List built with a script

Is there any documentation about the .fcc File format? I made one of the FCC and Folder lines start with *F*C:\..... What is the difference, when this is set in front of the path? If I remove it, it will still be a folder and I do not see any difference in behaviour? For automatic production of this...

Folder List built with a script

It would be great to have an Dynamic Folderlist, which will be produced eg. by a powershell script. I have seen some form of feature like this in Royal TS where a serverlist is produced eg. by a powershell script. Defintion would be something like, the script has to return a JSON formatted list with...

891 - Multi Rename "Search For" Previous entries

Hi, The previous entries will not be saved, when using the rename, it will only be saved when the dialog closes, and only the last used element. eg: Couple of files to rename. First round, rename eg. "abc" --> "" Second round (after hitting reload), rename "def" --> &qu...

Re: Feature Request: Treesize View with Subtrees

Could you explain it, please? Perhaps another bug? So basically the same then above. if you have a folder temp and two folders inside. if you add the column "files", it will only cound the direct files in a folder and not the files in all subfolders. Dont know if this is considered a &quo...

Re: Feature Request: Treesize View with Subtrees

WinDirStat is very old and no longer directly available. There are much better free tools now like WizTree and WizFile https://www.diskanalyzer.com/ https://antibody-software.com/wizfile/?ref=upgrade You have access to the full Windows context menu entries for any result line. Setting FC as file ma...

Re: Feature Request: Treesize View with Subtrees

Why not using "Plain view - Folders" (Shift+Ctrl+B) and sort by size? At least as a workaround. Nice feature which i tried now the first time (using CTRL+B all the time, but this one was missing in my head). Although not quite the same. Main folders will not show all subfolder sizes, they...

Feature Request: Treesize View with Subtrees

Hi, I know this is not an easy one, but I am missing it quite often: A feature like WinDirStat to have a view on a directory in size and number of files. I know that I can have the sum, but to really find what takes the space, it is a lot of manual work to find the right "problem". It woul...

867: Freecommander hangs when server got down

Hi, Since a long time i recognize, that FC will hang for long when as server went down, but the firectory like \\servername\c$ is still in a tab in FC. The FC window will get blurry and usually I have to kill it. Maybe there is a better way to prevent it or to cancel whatever it does? Regards Thorsten

Re: Feature-Request: Support HEIF/HEIC Files for EXIF Informations (Rename) and viewer

I made a quick check, Using FC with exiftool for 36 images/movies took 45 Seconds. Using Powershell and using exiftool -j (allfilenames) took only 5 seconds. So there seems to be a large overhead calling it for each file (especially in the Multi-rename). Marek any idea on this how you could also mov...

Re: Feature-Request: Support HEIF/HEIC Files for EXIF Informations (Rename) and viewer

Hello Marek, Thanks for the remind. But it seems rather slow when used with a couple hundred files. Is it possible that you call exiftool for each file? I tested it with powershell and it worked a lot faster when putting more then one file into the query: exiftool -j c:\myfolder it produces a json o...

Configuration for FCZip to preserve MOTW

Hi, It seem that FCZip will always remove the "download from internet" marking on files. Microsoft decided to do different things with makros and so on, if this flag exists. I know it can be disturbing, but in my eyes a unzip should preserve the marking, as the dangerous file might be insi...
