Re: Way to show only locked tabs?
Thank you for the suggestion links. I read up on them but do not have options for what I was hoping for. So may I suggest to add the following options: 1. Allow the user the option to never display temporary (non-locked) tabs, only locked tabs. When I move around from folder to folder tabs are not t...

Way to show only locked tabs?
Is there a way that I can only see locked tabs during my use? My work has me bouncing around many folders which then creates many temporary tabs. This quickly fills up the space for tabs and harder to find the ones I need. I see and do use the option "Close all not locked tabs when the program ...

Drive view settings like org FC
In the original FC (2009?), when I selected a drive icon it would show on the tree panel (I have tree panels for both left and right side), the drive I selected at the top of the left panel with no other drives below or above it showing and the related files for that drive on the right side of the t...

Re: Takes over 20 seconds to drag-n-drop file?
Thanks for the reply. I believe I have found what was causing this... perhaps more of a selection choice than an issue. In settings I unchecked "Start dragging on name or icon only" and Use blocking transfer". Not sure what exactly those choices due but I now get instant moving and co...

Takes over 20 seconds to drag-n-drop file?
I have been comparing my older FreeCommander 2009 with the new XE version. I was ready to move over but it takes up to 20 seconds (I have timed it), to perform a simple drag-n-drop of a file from one location to another. Why is that? This is using the XE default settings, customizing settings. After...

Changing background color of selected folder?
I have read thru the color schemes, control settings and even watched a few videos. In tree mode, the left paneldefault selected folder is a dark blue with black text. Too hard for me to read. I wish to change that background. Seems I can see how to change just about anything but that. Please help. ...

Re: Text sharpness between versions
Thx for the quick reply. Yes, I am still using the 2009 version. I-know, I-know, ut as the saying goes "if it ain't broke... and I have been very happy with it for many-many years. It's only when I purchased a 1440 display (I have a 3-across display setup), did I see such a difference. I was te...

Text sharpness between versions
I have been a user of the original FreeCommander for years and years. I recently updated one of my displays from 1080 to 1440. What surprised me was when I moved the FreeCommander panel to the 1440 display the text became noticeably blurry, yet when I moved it back to the 1080 display it was nice an...

Re: FC opens with an old Win10 username error?
Fixed issue by reinstalling app. I think it has something to do with the .ini file. All is well.

FC opens with an old Win10 username error?
I have been using FreeCommander 2009.02b for years and I thank you for still having a forums to support it. But this just happened a few days ago that has my head scratching and maybe the moderators (or someone reading), can shed some light on this. Whenever I open FreeCommander now I get a warning ...

Re: Possible to have FC XE look like 2009?
Thx for the reply, Your suggestion was correct. I finally found what I was looking for (so many options which is nice for customization). It was under Settings/View/Tree/Management where one can select the 'drive' only as the base folder. Mine was set at 'desktop'. Looking forward towards giving thi...

Possible to have FC XE look like 2009?
I have been using FC 2009 for years and recently heard of your new XE version so I thought I would give it a try. The question I have in the 2009 version I could set up a split, dual-panel view. When I clicked on a drive icon on the top of the window the Drive and first sub-folders would display on ...

Cannot see files of folder on 2nd panel when in Tree view?
I have a basic install where I have two panels, each are in the "tree mode". On the left panel if I click on a folder in the sub-panel it opens and shows the list of files, as I would expect it to. However, on the right panel if I click on folder in the sub-panel (again, also in tree mode)...
