Re: Copy, delete, move, new folder extreme laggy

After 4 hours of testing I found out that FC is only laggy with folder trees visible, but only with these two settings, each one alone, both together make it even worse: TreeShowLinkToFolder=1 TreeShowOverlayIcons=1 Without these settings there's almost no difference between a new and a configured p...

Your config work normally for me, no delay.
The good news is, that if I start FC with a new profile it is as fast as Windows Explorer.
The bad news is, that also the new profile becomes extremely laggy as soon as I copy my FreeCommander.ini to the TestSettings folder.

Re: Copy, delete, move, new folder extreme laggy

Thank you very much for your answers. As I wrote starting FC with /N /NewIni:... solves the problem, so it seems to be an issue of the FC settings, not an issue of the system or AV-software. When the problem occurs you see in my first post. I only work with local files. The number of open tabs has n...

Copy, delete, move, new folder extreme laggy

Hi, this issue has been reported often and over a long period. On my computer it is for several months, meanwhile with Windows 10 but it was the case already with Windows 7. So it is neither an issue only of the current FC nor the current system. Currently FC 813 64-bit, Windows 10 Professional 64 b...

FreeCommander support only scaling as on Windows 10: 100, 125, 150, ...
Try 150%, it should works.
Up to FCXE 749 other scalings worked fine. Why did you change this?

Have you tried font scaling 150%?
That solves this issue. But then I have issues with many other programs for which this scaling is too big. So I need a FC toolbar like it has been until v749. I hope Marek can accomplish that. Thank you very much.

Re: FCXE64 751 vs 749: Toolbar Height Is (Still) Now Doubled

This is still an issue with FCXE64 760. I stayed with v749 because of this issue. Now I installed v760 and still have this toolbar: https://abload.de/img/screenshot_1214cu6l.png Empty space and the menu overwrites the first part of the toolbar. Changing the size of the symbols doesn't solve the prob...

Re: Wrong color for folders

There is no difference between a folder or file for the read-only attribute. The Checkbox Ordner (Folder) not set does not mean you have selected files only. This box is to select the attribute folder and nothing else. I don't believe this is correct. The attribute "Folder" (Ordner) is set by the t...

Can someone verify this issue or is it only on my computer?

Wrong color for folders

Settings File/folder list > Item colors > Color by attributes
Read only: Color is set, Only for files.
Nevertheless FCXE 745 and previous versions shows folders with read only attribute colored.

FC freezes when deleting large amount of files

When deleting (without moving to recycler) a large amount of files (e.g. 250000 files, 2GB) with the FC routine FC freezes and blocks the system almost completely. After killing FC the system is unstable. There is no problem with deleting this amount of files with Windows Explorer. FC 717 (32 and 64...

Re: [TfcViewerForm_Plugins] in separate ini-file

X86 version write/read only the section [TfcViewerForm_Plugins]. X64 version - if the section [TfcViewerForm_Plugins64] does not exists load the plugins from [TfcViewerForm_Plugins] and then write and read the section [TfcViewerForm_Plugins64]. So after installing the next XE64 version I must copy ...

Re: [TfcViewerForm_Plugins] in separate ini-file

Implemented with [TfcViewerForm_Plugins] and [TfcViewerForm_Plugins64] Thank you, Marek. How does that work practically? Currently I have XE32 in a subfolder of Program Files (x86) and XE64 in a subfolder of Program Files. Therefor I can use either one, with different path names in the [TfcViewerFo...
