I assume there are performance penalties to having two panels Um, why would you assume that? Whatever directory refresh or repaint events that happen under the hood will be triggered for two views, not just one. Coding-wise, it is not uncommon that non-visible (rather than formally disabled) contro...

I assume there are performance penalties to having two panels, esp. if both have a treeview tacked to one side. Therefore, and although I do normally use two panels, it makes perfect sense that hiding the second panel actually collapses it rather than just moving the bar to the right/left and making...

"Search files" going into ignored hidden dirs?
Hi, I found a misfeature that really is more like a bug. If you Search files/folders, go to "Attr/Size" tab and clear the hidden flag, search does filter hidden files and directories. HOWEVER, it still goes into hidden directories to search its contents. Shouldn't search, by default, stop ...

You can define it in the freecommander.ini in the [Form] section, for example: DosCommandBoxSpec=cmd.exe Are you sure about this? I just closed FC, added DosCommandBoxSpec=C:\Progra~1\JPSoft\TCCLE9\tcc.exe to my [Form] area, re-opened FC and the commands still launch CMD... I am using FC 2009.02 ED...

Path Autocomplete removed?
Hi, It seems that autocomplete suggestions when you are typing in a path in the Folder Path was removed in version 2008.06... I posted a bug report a few months ago http://forum.freecommander.com/viewtopic.php?t=555 that this functionality wasn't always working as expected in FC 2007.10 and 2007.10a...

Small problem with Syn2 TC plugin
I am using Syn2 as a preview plugin ( http://sepa.spb.ru/?syn ) which is really nice and fast. However when I exit the preview (close Syn) I get a dialog with an error like --------------------------- Access violation at address 0276CCD4. Read of address 0276CCD4. --------------------------- (the ad...

Autocomplete bug
Hi, I found that the autocomplete functionality when you're typing in the path (after Alt+G) isn't quite right. Here's an example: Imagine you have 2 folders on your machine: c:\eSpace_One and c:\eSpace_AnotherOne . If you Alt+G and start typing c:\eSpace it correctly suggests both directories above...

Keyboard Shortcuts not persistent
Hi,
If I re-define a keyboard shortcut in Extras > Keyboard Shortcuts and then close FC, when I re-open the program all shortcuts are back to default. This happens regardless of doing Extras > Save Settings or not.
Version: 2007.10
OS: Win XP
Many thanks for a great program!
